HP's plan to make TouchPad a hit.

This is nothing that we discussed in class. I still receive the Bloomberg Businessweek Magazine since I took Marketing last semester and I figured that I would glance through it to see if I found anything worth talking about. I cam across the Technology section of this magazine. One article in this section talked the recent TouchPad by HP. I didn't read the full article even though it wasn't that long.

According to the article, it stated that during an interview at HP's Palo Alto headquarters, Todd Bradley was praising towards his microprocessor suppliers. He is the head of this $41 billio PC group by the way. It also stated that Intel and Advanced Micro Devices are important partners according to Bradley. After he said that, he help up a TouchPad which is his company's first tablet computer which is powered by a Qualcomm chip and HP's in-house operating system, webOS. The TouchPad starts at about $500 for the 16 gigabyte model. It recently started going on sale on July 1st starting at that price.

Couldn't find a link to this article. I do have the book though as stated earlier. I've heard from friends and other people that the HP TouchPad is better than the iPad.
